This is a metal art card featuring a young astronaut conjuring up a trip to the moon in his rocket powered blimp! It is made from several vintage images in a collage, cut to fit and glued to the tin metal card base. The tin metal card has been treated with gesso to give it a unique texture. The artwork is a three-dimensional found object collage, as the youngster has a bubble face mask made from an attached watch lens and the rocket blimp has aluminum foil exhaust exploding from the back of the engine. The backside of the metal card has been decorated using gesso and an applied patina.
 
The card is about 3-inches by 6-inches. It comes with a wooden mini-easel that has been painted silver. All this is one-of-a-kind (except the wooden easel), made in America by hand. Great looking art piece that can also be included into other arts and crafts projects … attach it to the front cover of a book … frame it either alone or as part of a collection … integrate it into a larger collage or found object art work.
