Meet Susan and Bob
We both love to create! Around the house we enjoy cooking, growing vegies and flowers, going on picnics, and beautiful things. After years of working in high-tech and retail, we decided to put our creative talents to work by developing our own line of greeting cards and notes, as well as handcrafted jewelry, original art and other decorative objects. These and items from other individual artists are now available here online and at our Los Gatos shop, Just Write Arts.
Just Write Arts began about 2010 when Susan and Bob Bortfeld started to create our own greeting cards for Vintages, a gift shop in Los Gatos, which we closed in 2017. Our cards were warmly received by customers, so we began wholesaling the card line to other stores.
After a two-year hiatus from retail, we decided to open a new shop, Just Write Arts in downtown Los Gatos.
Just Write Arts carries a large selection of cards, note pads and journals, along with handmade jewelry and other artsy items that are always changing.
Both Susan and Bob are artistic types. Bob is creating artwork out of vintage and found objects. Susan continues to make solder necklaces, charms and ornaments that can be personalized for customers.
However, the focus of Just Write Arts is greeting cards, boxed notes, journals, notepads and framed prints, mostly from Susan’s and Bob’s unique designs, but also from individual American artists.
We hope you will enjoy these products as much as we enjoy creating them.
